I am sorry all I know it English and I would appreciate help from anyone who also knows English.
I am going to be studying abroad in Rome this Fall and will be there for 4 months. I have unlocked my iPhone 3G and know how to set the APN and all. I was looking to get a prepaid simcard that I can use for iPhone data and calling people in Italy and cheap international calling. However, I am having some trouble as I don’t read much Italian. I would appreciate any information on carriers and recommendations.
welcome
i think that the best carrier in italy for iphone data plan is Vodafone…a new sim card will cost you 5€ (with 5€ of credit on it) and for 3€ per week you can activate “Mobile internet per iphone”, that gives you 500mb of internet traffic per week
Where is says “16 cent on answer. The tariff is per minute or talk time, it is carried out per 60 seconds which will be debited before hand”. What exactly does that mean? Is that saying there is a 16 cent set-up fee for every call?
16 cent per answer means that when you answer a call you’ll autmatically pay 16 cents.
The tariff of 15 cents per minute is calculated for every 60 seconds of call
for example, for a call of 15 seconds you’ll pay:
16 cents for the answer + 15 cents for the call (because it’s less than 60 seconds)
and for a 70 seconds call
16 cents + 15*2 cents (because it’s less than 120 seconds)
Hi Payroll,
through One Nation New you can contact many states but it isn’t valid for United States! If you want to call your nation, You will be able to active Call Your Country by Wind( Wind - Privati - Call Your Country ), it isn’t so cheap than Vodafone, but trought it you’ll be able to call your nation per 30/c MIN(it is carried out per 60 seconds) and 15 cent on answer.
If you want to active an Internet Mobile tariff, there’s Mega 1500 by Wind. You’ll have 480MB per 8€/Month.
